New Journey, New Places

Soooooo I haven’t been on here in a really long time and for those of you that regularly read my posts, I apologize but my life has been quite hectic lately. I’ve been working nearly full time and on my days off I’m usually running around doing the things I can’t get done on my work days.

For those of you that haven’t seen my Facebook posts, I have some very big news that means a lot to me. Instead of having to finish one more internship credit before graduation my adviser waved it and I will be GRADUATING from the University of North Dakota with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications with an emphasis in sports journalism on August 5th… two weeks from today!!!!!!! I still can’t believe it is finally happening (a year and a half behind what I was supposed to) and I am almost in tears every time I think about it.

With all that has happened in the last couple of years with moving home and my money situation I got to the point where I thought my graduation would never happen, or it would take a very long time so this came as quite a shock and relief. Honestly I’m still in shock over it and may be for quite some time until I actually walk the stage which I am also somewhat terrified of haha. Never been great in front of crowds.. shocker right!? Just kidding, there’s a reason I chose writing over other careers.

I can’t thank everyone around me enough for putting up with me these last 5.5 years of college. It’s been one hell of a ride and it was well worth it, even when I was ready to quit at times, but getting to write at the Dakota Student and play in the University band for three years kept the other hard parts of college at bay also with the help of Jesse of course 😉 My internship with the Swarm was when it really hit me that I had chosen the right career, I often think about my time there and miss it a lot. It was such a blast and I can’t wait to be with a team that is hopefully as great as they were to me! Shout out to the now Georgia Swarm! You guys are awesome and even though you moved I’ll always be a fan!!

Anyway that’s my biggest news other than I got another new car, my 2001 Ford Focus unfortunately got a knock in the engine and is no longer running 😦 but I did get a 2008 Ford Focus in the same color and I love it!! I’m sad about my old one but I love my new one as well! Similar to my thoughts on graduating, I can’t believe I’m driving a car as nice as that!

Other than that life has been great, busy but great and hopefully it stays that way. I’m looking forward to a week vacation the week of my graduation however! I plan to get on here and write more as well! Thanks for reading!
